Winter is well underway here in the South Burnett, we've had quite a few frosts interspersed with rain so it's been pretty cold for sunny QLD!

As a result of the rather bleak weather the subtropical pastures have taken a real hit which means my work in the animal nutrition sector has gotten quite busy so my custom braiding books are currently CLOSED for the time being, don't worry though there are still plenty of beautiful ready-made options available from my Etsy store.

You may have noticed the website has had a little makeover! I have geared it purely towards my leather braiding to keep it simple (and a bit easier to maintain!) hopefully this means more frequent blog posts 😉
There's 2 new additions to the Bush Braids team - two tabby kittens which have been wrecking absolute HAVOC on the house and turning the art of leather braiding into a battle for the ages as I negotiate their relentless playfulness & curiosity 😅

I have joined the world of Tiktok where I'm popping up some braiding content but also just general outtakes from life in the bush! It's been a really fun creative outlet and I've loved being able to share a little bit of my "normal" on there.

And lastly cutting season is well underway! Myself and my trusty steed Andrew have both overcome some health challenges to make our debut in the cutting pen with the South Burnett Quarter Horse cutters which has been a really fantastic experience!

Well I recon that will do it for tonight's blog, hopefully the next one will not be such a long time coming!
Take care & happy trails!
